About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide technical leadership, mentor and develop the engineering team, fostering autonomy and ownership among developers (focus on growing and scaling the team!).
Translate complex business needs into efficient, scalable, reusable and resilient API architectures.
Design cross-functional solutions, mapping flows, diagrams and data models across core systems and external partners.
Ensure technical excellence and quality through robust testing strategies (unit, integration and performance tests) to support high request volumes.
Promote an AI-assisted engineering culture, leading the adoption of tools such as GitHub Copilot and Amazon Q to accelerate development cycles and increase team efficiency.
Ensure high availability and security with a DevSecOps mindset, using observability tools (Dynatrace) and code-quality tools (SonarQube) to proactively mitigate risks.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field.
Solid experience in large-scale projects, complex systems and software architecture design (with emphasis on performance and maintainability).
Proven experience in technical leadership and mentoring development teams.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders across the organization.
Familiarity and comfort navigating our technical ecosystem:
Core Tech: Java (Spring Boot, Spring Batch); experience with legacy systems/modernization (SOA/OSB) and Frontend (Angular) is desirable.
Databases: Oracle relational databases and data modeling.
Integration & DevOps: Microservices architecture (Docker, Kubernetes), RESTful APIs/GraphQL, messaging (Kafka/RabbitMQ) and CI/CD pipelines.
Curiosity, openness to, or hands-on experience with AI-assisted tools (GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q, etc.).
