About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead Platform Architecture and Engineering: Define architectural standards and create optimized development paths, ensuring technical consistency, high-quality large-scale deliveries, and technical governance of complex distributed systems;
- Drive Developer Experience (DevEx): Design structured solutions to standardize and accelerate the developer journey, improving operational efficiency and squad productivity;
- Design High-Availability Systems: Model and implement robust architectures based on microservices, serverless, and event-driven solutions, using messaging and queueing tools (such as Kafka, RabbitMQ or SQS);
- Ensure Application Security (AppSec): Design and enforce in-depth security practices at application and infrastructure levels (authentication, authorization, encryption, and OWASP guidelines);
- Bridge Business and Technology: Collaborate strategically with Enterprise Architecture to translate complex business requirements into viable, resilient, and scalable architectures, clearly weighing trade-offs;
- Advance Cloud Modernization: Implement and maintain robust solutions in cloud ecosystems (AWS, GCP and Azure), using infrastructure best practices and managed services (compute, storage, networking and serverless);
- Orchestrate Automation and CI/CD: Design efficient continuous deployment pipelines, automating engineering processes to reduce time-to-market and safeguard system integrity;
- Optimize Performance and Observability: Conduct deep performance and production bottleneck analyses, defining persistence strategies for relational and non-relational databases, and structuring observability platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog);
- Foster an Engineering Culture: Promote adoption of modern development standards, actively mentoring other software engineers on coding best practices, security, and scalability.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or related fields;
- Software Architecture Experience: Strong track record in designing and setting architectural directions for complex, long-lived digital platforms;
- Greenfield Projects: Hands-on, proven experience building new platforms and digital ecosystems from scratch;
- Solving Technical Complexity: Technical expertise in resolving complex engineering problems, specifically focused on high availability and scalability;
- Ecosystems and Languages: Technical mastery in development and architecture using Java and/or .NET ecosystems;
- Distributed Systems and Integrations: Solid experience with event-driven architecture, messaging/queueing tools (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS) and designing robust APIs (RESTful, GraphQL);
- Platform and Cloud Culture: Practical knowledge of cloud solutions (AWS, GCP or Azure) and automation/CI/CD pipelines;
- Technical Interface: Experience translating complex architectural requirements and technical visions for different engineering teams and product leadership.
