About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Administers and operates the organization's warehouses, including processing, packaging and storage of supplies, materials and equipment.
- Supervises the daily activities of business support, technicians and/or production teams.
- Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with other supervisors.
- Supervises bargaining teams responsible for all warehouse functions including issuing, returning, and receiving material and parts, cycle counting, stocking material, removal of obsolete stock and entering data in the inventory management system.
- Provides daily supervision of teams, ensuring that all relevant standards/procedures are followed.
- Manages logistics on transportation of material and equipment.
- Sets direction and oversees demand management for inventory.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Requires a bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, operations or other related field or equivalent experience.
- Prefer five or more years in warehousing, supply chain, purchasing or administration.
- Advanced knowledge of inventory management practices, processes and procedures.
- Advanced knowledge of warehouse system management.
- Intermediate knowledge of PGE purchasing processes.
- Intermediate knowledge of contract administration processes and practices.
- Intermediate knowledge of standard office software applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Intermediate knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations.
- Intermediate knowledge of the Inventory Management System.
- Working knowledge of Supply Chain Management fundamentals.
- Working knowledge of Work Management System.
- Working knowledge of work order life cycle.
- Working knowledge of labor relations and applicable collective bargaining agreements.
