About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive new business development across US-based biotech and pharma clients
  • Identify, pursue, and close opportunities for custom development and commercial manufacturing projects
  • Build and execute territory and account plans to grow revenue and pipeline
  • Develop strong client relationships and act as a strategic partner and advisor
  • Lead client interactions including presentations, site visits, and negotiations
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Technical, Project Management, Operations, and Finance teams
  • Manage opportunities through the full sales lifecycle, including CRM tracking and forecasting
  • Represent PolyPeptide at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a scientific or related field
  • 3–5+ years of experience in pharma, biotech, or CDMO/CRO environment
  • Exposure to commercial or client-facing roles
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Master’s or PhD in Life Sciences, Chemistry, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of proven success in CDMO/CRO or life sciences business development
  • Strong track record of closing complex deals and managing key accounts
  • Deep understanding of the drug development lifecycle and outsourcing strategies
  • Strong consultative sales approach and ability to navigate complex organizations
  • Ability to translate technical solutions into business value
  • Highly driven, self-motivated, and results-oriented
  • Comfortable working in a global, matrixed organization
  • Willingness to travel (~50%) to meet clients and grow your network
