Instrument Maintenance Engineer

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Position is responsible for assisting the Manager of Science and Calibration and Laboratory Managers in equipment maintenance
- Complete rebuild/repair of instruments from spare parts to ISO 17025 standard compliance requirements
- Develop standard procedures for rebuilding older scientific instruments
- Repair of constituent parts of equipment, including electronics boards, sourcing sub-parts from other vendors, and replacement components to replace end-of-life parts
- Ensure compliance with ISO 17025 requirements for maintenance and calibration of repaired equipment
- Compliance of all work and maintenance records for work in a selected CMMS software
- Assist and develop remote Laboratory Managers to provide training to all laboratory personnel on proper maintenance and care of all laboratory instrumentation
- Work with Manager of Science and Calibration to ensure the Maintenance Team performs Preventative Maintenance, Calibrations and repair of production instrument failures
Requirements

- Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills
- Detail oriented and ability to multi-task
- Displayed potential to grasp strategic concepts and strategy development skills
- BS/BA Degree, plus other relevant certifications
