Art Director

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work with the game producer to lead the concept and design of game art and animation
- Create initial graphical direction through game documents and storyboards for complete 2D game art and animation
- Guide the design team, ensuring alignment with the product vision and technical requirements
- Review and measure designers’ performance, offering constructive feedback and fostering growth
- Collaborate closely with game producers, developers, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality assets on schedule
- Oversee the animation, approving samples and suggesting improvements
- Present graphic elements for management approval and report progress to leadership
- Solve visual and functional challenges creatively throughout the game development process
- Manage communication with stakeholders, including game owners and external partners
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience as an Art Director (2+ years)
- Advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop and familiarity with Adobe Illustrator
- Knowledge of InDesign and other Adobe CC tools is a plus
- Adept with graphic AI tools (e.g., Midjourney, Leonardo.ai, Stable Diffusion)
- Excellent drawing, graphic, and composition skills
- Deep understanding of design principles, current styles, and trends in gaming
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and self-management abilities
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
