About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Run the People Ops function for a 50-person company
- Full-cycle recruiting for IC and operational roles
- HRIS and payroll administration in Gusto
- Multi-state compliance across CA, FL, IL, and NC
- Annual benefits renewal and ongoing employee questions
- People Ops cadence including onboarding for US and LATAM hires
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3-5 years of People Ops or HR experience
- Operational rigor across HRIS, compliance, and contractor management
- Strong experience with Gusto
- High EQ and direct communication
- Self-direction and prioritization
- Startup or scale-up experience
- Hands-on experience implementing People and talent programs
- High-performance calibration
- Fluency with Claude or AI tools
- Bilingual Spanish is a plus
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus
- Experience with Gusto HRIS and Team Tailor ATS is a plus
- Ability to work in our Miami HQ office is a plus
