About the role
- Take on a key role in the design and further development of complex SIGINT systems
- Design robust, scalable and interoperable architectures for mission-critical applications in military environments
- Take responsibility for the overall technical architecture of the system/program
- Develop and evaluate system architectures for complex software and hardware solutions
- Analyze operational requirements and derive technical system and subsystem architectures
- Define interfaces, data flows and integration strategies for sensors, signal processing and communications modules
- Create architecture and design documentation (e.g., using UML, SysML, ArchiMate)
- Maintain systems engineering libraries
- Provide technical leadership to interdisciplinary development teams and closely collaborate with systems engineers, software developers and project management
- Conduct architecture reviews, risk analyses and system analyses
- Support customer presentations, tender responses and technical concepts
Requirements
- University degree in (business) computer science, electrical engineering or a comparable qualification
- Very good knowledge of requirements engineering
- Several years of experience in developing solution architectures
- Ideally, solid experience in model-based systems engineering
- Experience in the architecture of complex safety-/security-critical systems
- Interest in solution design and system/IT architectures including interfaces
- Familiarity with SysML/UML, NAF or TOGAF
- Willingness to travel (up to approx. 30%)
- Strong communication skills
- Ideally, knowledge of radio technology or a technical background in signal analysis, reconnaissance or evaluation
- Strong analytical skills, systems thinking and excellent communication abilities
- Willingness to undergo a security clearance pursuant to the National Security Clearance Act (SÜG)
- Good presentation and moderation skills and strong verbal and written expression in German and English
