About the role

  • Develop software components for demodulation and decoding of radio signals from a wide range of application areas
  • Take responsibility for the design, development, documentation, and testing of the relevant software components
  • Develop numerical algorithms for digital signal processing with a focus on reliability, robustness, reproducibility, and performance
  • Perform bit-level analysis of new and unknown transmission protocols, from channel decoding up to the application layer
  • Work with modern technologies in C++ and Python (e.g., pybind11)
  • Collaborate in an agile team with close technical exchange among colleagues

Requirements

  • Degree in communications engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, physics, or equivalent qualifications
  • Strong interest in digital signal processing and topics related to demodulation and decoding of radio signals
  • Solid experience in software development with C++ and Python
  • Familiarity with build tools and continuous integration (CMake, Jenkins, Git, etc.)
  • Open communication style and a strong problem-solving focus
  • Very good German and English language skills
