About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Research, write, and publish complete, accurate and easily usable policies and procedures
Collaborate with Compliance, Legal and HR to ensure compliance with laws and guidelines
Create, maintain, and archive policy and procedure documents
Coordinate with business/process owners to ensure documentation reflects accurate processes
Manage documentation approval process with compliance, senior management and SMEs
Establish and implement a formal process for policy and procedure requests
Maintain project management tracking for management reporting
Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications or related field
Minimum of three (3) years of policy or technical writing experience
Mortgage servicing/banking experience preferred
Excellent verbal communication skills
Strong writing and editing skills
Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem solve effectively
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of management
Ability to understand and assess business needs and requests
Strong time management, organization and attention-to-detail
Ability to multi-task effectively while meeting aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work effectively within tight deadlines and with minimum supervision
Capable of using diplomacy and negotiation in dealing with business stakeholders
Ability to adapt to change
Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office (including but not limited to Word, Excel and Powerpoint), Adobe Acrobat, screen capture software, and content management systems
Experience with MadCap Flare is a plus
