About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the studio's QA function and define its strategic vision
Champion a strong culture of quality across the development lifecycle
Mentor and develop the internal QA team
Establish standards, processes, and testing methodologies for a mobile F2P title
Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Art, and Production throughout development and live operations
Coordinate resource allocation and testing coverage across internal teams, time zones, and external QA partners
Oversee functional, regression, integration, performance, and platform compliance testing
Streamline bug triage and defect tracking
Encourage adoption and expansion of automated testing frameworks
Provide build-health risk assessments, QA metrics, and go/no-go recommendations during release cycles
Oversee Apple App Store and Google Play platform compliance and submissions
Establish and monitor QA metrics, including defect density and resolution trends
Deliver data-informed insights to identify risks and resolve bottlenecks proactively

Requirements

What you’ll need

Rich background in QA leadership within the mobile or free-to-play (F2P) space
Proven ability to guide distributed QA teams
Experience mentoring emerging leads
Ability to build collaborative relationships with external testing partners
Expertise in functional, regression, performance, and platform compliance testing
Practical experience scaling automated testing frameworks
Comfortable and confident using Jira and TestRail
Thorough working knowledge of Apple App Store and Google Play certification requirements
Experience with reporting frameworks in Jira, Power BI, or Excel
Ability to communicate build health, technical risks, and quality considerations to non-technical partners
Passion for gaming and commitment to quality
