Key responsibilities & impact

Responsible for the implementation and continuous enhancement of the Compliance Oversight framework across regulated subsidiaries, including insurance, investment and other financial services entities.
Oversee and challenge subsidiaries' compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, Group Compliance standards and internal governance frameworks.
Οversee and advise on the implementation of corrective actions and remediation plans arising from audits, compliance reviews and regulatory inspections.
Provide strategic compliance and regulatory guidance and advice to subsidiary Compliance Officers and senior management, escalating significant governance and compliance issues as appropriate.
Oversee and advise on the assessment of material compliance, regulatory and governance matters across subsidiaries, ensuring timely resolution and effective risk mitigation.
Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on subsidiaries’ activities, products and control frameworks.
Foster a consistent compliance culture and promote the adoption of Group Compliance best practices across subsidiary entities.
Liaise with regulatory authorities, auditors and external stakeholders on matters impacting subsidiary compliance frameworks, in cooperation with the Competent Compliance Functions of subsidiaries.

Requirements

What you’ll need

BSc in Finance, Business, Banking, Economics, Risk Management or a related field.
MSc in a relevant discipline will be considered an advantage.
Minimum 10 years of professional experience in Compliance, Risk Management, or Internal Audit units within the insurance, financial services, or consulting industries.
People management experience, including leadership and development of teams.
Strong knowledge of insurance regulation, including Solvency II, IDD and insurance governance frameworks.
Good understanding of regulations applicable to investment, banking and financial products, including MiFID II, MiCA and related regulatory frameworks.
Experience working with regulated entities and complex group structures.
Professional-level English verbal and writing skills.
Strong stakeholder management skills and experience interacting with regulators and senior governance bodies.
