About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide financial and strategic oversight for Pinterest’s technology infrastructure investments, primarily AWS
Partner with Engineering, Infrastructure, and Technical Program Management teams on annual, monthly, and weekly investment, demand, and financial forecasts
Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual variance analyses
Improve and automate OPEX and infrastructure forecasting, reporting tools, and processes
Embed AI tools into technology finance forecasting, metrics analysis, and decision-making
Design usage prediction models for short- and long-term resource capacity needs
Identify risks and opportunities proactively
Perform strategic, time-sensitive analysis and communicate key takeaways
Govern infrastructure investments and manage key vendor relationships, especially AWS
Allocate and track costs at the appropriate organizational level

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience forecasting expenses, preferably technology infrastructure spending on public cloud platforms and product offerings
Experience using AI tools for financial analysis and forecasting, with rigorous output validation and ownership of final recommendations
Experience managing multiple workstreams end-to-end across functions and teams
Expertise building high-level and detailed financial models
Strong business partnership, verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to multitask and meet timelines
Entrepreneurial, flexible, and collaborative mindset
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Accounting or Finance
Minimum 5 years of Finance or Business Operational experience in a fast-paced industry
Must be a US-based applicant
