About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide financial and strategic oversight for Pinterest’s technology infrastructure investments, primarily AWS
- Partner with Engineering, Infrastructure, and Technical Program Management teams on annual, monthly, and weekly investment, demand, and financial forecasts
- Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual variance analyses
- Improve and automate OPEX and infrastructure forecasting, reporting tools, and processes
- Embed AI tools into technology finance forecasting, metrics analysis, and decision-making
- Design usage prediction models for short- and long-term resource capacity needs
- Identify risks and opportunities proactively
- Perform strategic, time-sensitive analysis and communicate key takeaways
- Govern infrastructure investments and manage key vendor relationships, especially AWS
- Allocate and track costs at the appropriate organizational level
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience forecasting expenses, preferably technology infrastructure spending on public cloud platforms and product offerings
- Experience using AI tools for financial analysis and forecasting, with rigorous output validation and ownership of final recommendations
- Experience managing multiple workstreams end-to-end across functions and teams
- Expertise building high-level and detailed financial models
- Strong business partnership, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and meet timelines
- Entrepreneurial, flexible, and collaborative mindset
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 5 years of Finance or Business Operational experience in a fast-paced industry
- Must be a US-based applicant
