About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, such as backend developers, designers, and product owners, to architect, develop, and deploy robust web applications using Java and Spring Boot.
Optimize application performance diagnose and resolve issues to ensure a seamless user experience.
Participate actively in code reviews, offering insightful feedback to maintain code quality and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Keep on top of the latest advancements and trends in Java development, particularly in the Spring Boot ecosystem, and propose enhancements to continually improve application performance and maintainability.
Provide mentorship and guidance to developers, conducting code reviews and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Promotes and applies proven AI-assisted development workflows and researches new AI use cases to improve development efficiency and engineering practices.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven expertise in Java development with a strong understanding of the Spring Boot framework.
Experienced in building REST API-s.
Strong knowledge of Hibernate / JPA.
Good knowledge of Kubernetes + Docker.
Good knowledge of Kafka (or similar).
Familiarity with modern services architecture concepts.
Proficiency in relational databases (PostgreSQL).
Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment, while also possessing the autonomy to work independently when necessary.
Experience with AI-assisted or agentic workflows is a plus.
Experience with GCP is a plus.
Experience with C# is a plus.
Experience with modern frontend development using Angular or a similar framework is a plus.
