About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of online, mobile, and internal software platforms.
  • Software Developer Architects advanced solutions to business problems using foundational knowledge of software development and business priorities
  • Mentors and teaches other Software Engineers on best practices, languages, libraries, and tools
  • Creates and maintains documentation
  • Collaborates with other departments to develop solutions to business problems, including creating integrations between existing platforms
  • Manages user accounts in cloud-based software
  • Maintains, updates, and creates menu items as menu changes
  • Supports stores with point-of-sale issues
  • Answers guest questions regarding online ordering, gift cards, Piada Rewards, and other questions/concerns that are sent to the Technology-managed email addresses.
  • Provides timelines and roadmaps for development projects and technology initiatives
  • Maintain and manage relationships with software vendors

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, CS, Computer Science and Engineering, CSE, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience/certification
  • Minimum 6 years of professional experience in full-stack development with preferences for: Ruby on Rails, JavaScript (Vue), HTML/CSS, Mobile apps - iOS (Swift) / Android (Kotlin), Linux server maintenance
  • Understanding of user-experience theories and concepts
  • Cloud server architecture, configuration, and deployment. Specific knowledge of AWS is a plus
  • Be aware of security best practices to ensure the appropriate protection of data and resources
  • Ability to take business requirements and translate them into technology solutions
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to create a structured project plan and prioritize tasks according to business requirements
  • High attention to detail
  • Night and weekend availability to assist stores with troubleshooting, menu launches, and software deployments.
