About the role

  • You will be responsible for operational participations/investment controlling within a corporate group of more than 20 entities.
  • Perform analyses of the financial performance of subsidiaries.
  • Communicate with subsidiaries globally regarding reporting, commentary, variance analyses and global standards.
  • Prepare financial reports and analyses for the group's senior management.
  • Operationally consolidate subsidiaries’ financial data into the consolidated P&L and balance sheet.
  • Lead projects for the implementation, development and maintenance of a consolidation tool.
  • Ensure data consistency and integrity in the consolidation process in close coordination with accounting.
  • Establish and further develop reporting for P&L, balance sheet, cash, NWC (net working capital) and ad‑hoc/special analyses.
  • Support the preparation of the consolidated financial statements in accordance with national and international accounting standards (e.g., HGB, IFRS).
  • Take responsibility for contributing to the preparation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts.

Requirements

  • Degree in economics, business administration or a comparable qualification, ideally with a focus on finance/controlling; alternatively certified accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter) or CPA qualification with several years of relevant experience
  • Several years of professional experience in controlling, preferably in participations/investment controlling or group accounting
  • Solid knowledge of national and international accounting standards (HGB, IFRS)
  • Confident use of controlling tools, consolidation software and ERP systems (e.g., Infor)
  • Ability to work cross‑functionally and coordinate multiple stakeholders
  • Business‑fluent German and English; additional foreign languages are an advantage
