About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Enhance software development skills while working on development teams creating safety-critical systems
- Develop embedded software primarily for avionics and medical device industries
- Participate in all aspects of the full Software Development Life Cycle
- Work on project-specific teams that change when projects are completed
- Work across a wide variety of projects and advanced software development technologies
- Produce embedded software for safety-critical avionics and medical instrument systems
- Contribute to real-time embedded software and hardware applications, including cockpit displays, flight management guidance and navigation, platforms, and datalink applications
Requirements
What you’ll need- Recent or upcoming graduate in software development
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, or similar software development curriculum
- Overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Strong proficiency in at least one object-oriented language, such as C++, C#, Python, or Java
- Academic exposure to software development methodologies, such as Waterfall or Agile
- Embedded software experience desired but not required
- Prior internship highly desirable but not required
- Highly motivated and self-starting attitude
- Must have already graduated or be graduating within the next 3 months
- Must be a U.S. Person under U.S. export-control laws, or have the ability to obtain export authorization
