About the role
- Create robust and scalable applications, ensuring seamless integration between front-end and back-end systems.
- Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications using modern technologies, frameworks, and tools.
- Design and implement efficient, scalable APIs, services, and system integrations to support application functionality.
- Build responsive, user-friendly interfaces leveraging frameworks like React to enhance user experience.
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into high-quality software solutions.
- Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability to meet user and business needs.
- Lead code reviews, enforce best practices, and mentor junior engineers to foster a culture of engineering excellence.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science.
- 7 years experience, including 5 years of progressive, post baccalaureate experience as Software Developer or Software Design Engineer or related.
- 7 years experience developing applications and solutions using Java.
- 5 years experience building software features for website and iOS apps.
- 5 years experience developing software tests to monitor and ensure functionality and correctness of features on website and iOS apps.
- 5 years experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
- 5 years experience with AWS services, including EC2 and RDS.
- 5 years experience crafting responsive and visually appealing user interfaces using CSS.
- 5 years experience building user interfaces and applications using React.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States (application requires).
- Comfortable working out of NYC HQ at least 3 days/week (application question).
