About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Monitor multiple systems and applications using Zabbix, Grafana, Splunk, AppDynamics, Oracle Analytics Publisher (OAS), Aria vROPS, and other monitoring tools
- Develop and maintain proactive monitoring solutions assessing availability, performance, capacity, and overall environment health
- Communicate the operational state of enterprise systems to CAEIO teams, external stakeholders, and the customer
- Respond to incidents, outages, and performance alerts
- Categorize issues for escalation to appropriate technical teams
- Recognize, identify, and prioritize incidents according to customer requirements, organizational policies, and operational impact
- Support multiple technical teams in 24x7 operational environments with high uptime requirements
- Update trouble tickets within multiple SLA parameters by coordinating with internal and external support teams
- Draft and verify Knowledgebase articles for recurring issues
- Maintain user and administrator accounts using Active Directory and Office 365
- Troubleshoot third-party applications on virtual and physical servers
- Coordinate system shutdowns and start-ups for scheduled maintenance
- Create Standard Operation Procedures for team tasks
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience, or Associate’s degree and 4 years of experience, or high school diploma/equivalent and 6 years of experience
- U.S. citizenship
- Active SECRET Government Security Clearance
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience triaging and prioritizing critical incidents aligned with mission objectives
- Ability to establish alerting thresholds and coordinate alert routing with technical teams
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience collecting and analyzing metrics across a distributed, complex IT enterprise
- ServiceNow expertise desired
- ITIL4 Foundations certification desired
- Experience monitoring IT infrastructure using internal or commercial off-the-shelf monitoring tools highly desired
- Availability for the 11:00 PM ET–7:30 AM ET Sunday–Friday core work schedule
- Must reside in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area
