About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Monitor multiple systems and applications using Zabbix, Grafana, Splunk, AppDynamics, Oracle Analytics Publisher (OAS), Aria vROPS, and other monitoring tools
Develop and maintain proactive monitoring solutions assessing availability, performance, capacity, and overall environment health
Communicate the operational state of enterprise systems to CAEIO teams, external stakeholders, and the customer
Respond to incidents, outages, and performance alerts
Categorize issues for escalation to appropriate technical teams
Recognize, identify, and prioritize incidents according to customer requirements, organizational policies, and operational impact
Support multiple technical teams in 24x7 operational environments with high uptime requirements
Update trouble tickets within multiple SLA parameters by coordinating with internal and external support teams
Draft and verify Knowledgebase articles for recurring issues
Maintain user and administrator accounts using Active Directory and Office 365
Troubleshoot third-party applications on virtual and physical servers
Coordinate system shutdowns and start-ups for scheduled maintenance
Create Standard Operation Procedures for team tasks

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience, or Associate’s degree and 4 years of experience, or high school diploma/equivalent and 6 years of experience
U.S. citizenship
Active SECRET Government Security Clearance
Minimum of 2 years’ experience triaging and prioritizing critical incidents aligned with mission objectives
Ability to establish alerting thresholds and coordinate alert routing with technical teams
Minimum of 2 years’ experience collecting and analyzing metrics across a distributed, complex IT enterprise
ServiceNow expertise desired
ITIL4 Foundations certification desired
Experience monitoring IT infrastructure using internal or commercial off-the-shelf monitoring tools highly desired
Availability for the 11:00 PM ET–7:30 AM ET Sunday–Friday core work schedule
Must reside in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area
