About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide subject matter expertise on radar system integration, operations, and lifecycle sustainment
- Support FAA surveillance programs through performance analysis, troubleshooting, and modernization planning
- Observe, capture, and report technical data for FAA radar system installation and modernization
- Collaborate with FAA stakeholders, contractors, and engineering teams
- Develop and submit technical and status reports during site survey, pre-installation, installation, testing, and acceptance phases
- Notify Peraton authority of significant risks, issues, and opportunities and their schedule impacts
- Oversee site and vendor technicians and track equipment installation schedules
- Ensure compliance with FAA mandates
- Monitor updated systems after installation and acceptance testing
- Coordinate with site technicians and vendors on calibrations, alignments, and additional testing to optimize ATC systems
- Support radar upgrades that improve detection capabilities and data accuracy
Requirements
What you’ll need- US citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- 5 years of experience with a BS/BA, 3 years with an MS/MA, 0 years with a PhD, or 9 years with no degree
- Technical work experience maintaining moderately complex systems such as radars, radios, or networks
- Strong self-starter traits
- Ability to implement conflict resolution and deconfliction steps
- Ability to operate independently under agile conditions with limited oversight or managerial control
- Critical thinking and ability to follow processes and procedures
- Willingness and ability to travel 75%, averaging one month on-site and 1-2 weeks remote
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to assess large amounts of pertinent data and produce detailed technical reports under time limitations
- Clear and effective communication with all parties
- Familiarity with radar operations, ATC systems and operations, and/or Integrated Air and Missile Defense systems preferred
- Expert use of Microsoft products and business applications preferred

Comp & perks- Base salary of $80,000-$128,000 per year
