About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise software applications focused on GIS solutions
  • Develop scalable, secure, and high-performing applications using modern software engineering practices
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and system integrations
  • Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and reusable code following coding standards and best practices
  • Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, architects, and developers to deliver technical solutions
  • Perform unit testing, integration testing, code reviews, and debugging
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement performance improvements
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and design specifications
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and continuous delivery initiatives
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree and 12 years of experience, or 16 years with a high school diploma/equivalent
  • Solid software engineering experience developing enterprise applications
  • Strong experience with Esri technologies, including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS REST APIs, and ArcGIS Maps SDKs
  • Proficiency in one or more of C#, .NET, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs, web services, and enterprise integrations
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming, software architecture, design patterns, and secure coding practices
  • Experience with SQL databases, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile software development methodologies
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Must be a US Citizen
