About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise software applications focused on GIS solutions
Develop scalable, secure, and high-performing applications using modern software engineering practices
Build and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and system integrations
Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and reusable code following coding standards and best practices
Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, architects, and developers to deliver technical solutions
Perform unit testing, integration testing, code reviews, and debugging
Troubleshoot production issues and implement performance improvements
Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and design specifications
Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and continuous delivery initiatives
Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree and 12 years of experience, or 16 years with a high school diploma/equivalent
Solid software engineering experience developing enterprise applications
Strong experience with Esri technologies, including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS REST APIs, and ArcGIS Maps SDKs
Proficiency in one or more of C#, .NET, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python
Experience developing RESTful APIs, web services, and enterprise integrations
Understanding of object-oriented programming, software architecture, design patterns, and secure coding practices
Experience with SQL databases, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile software development methodologies
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Must be a US Citizen
