About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise software applications focused on GIS solutions
- Develop scalable, secure, and high-performing applications using modern software engineering practices
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and system integrations
- Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and reusable code following coding standards and best practices
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, architects, and developers to deliver technical solutions
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, code reviews, and debugging
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement performance improvements
- Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and design specifications
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and continuous delivery initiatives
- Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree and 12 years of experience, or 16 years with a high school diploma/equivalent
- Solid software engineering experience developing enterprise applications
- Strong experience with Esri technologies, including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS REST APIs, and ArcGIS Maps SDKs
- Proficiency in one or more of C#, .NET, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python
- Experience developing RESTful APIs, web services, and enterprise integrations
- Understanding of object-oriented programming, software architecture, design patterns, and secure coding practices
- Experience with SQL databases, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile software development methodologies
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Must be a US Citizen
