About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the primary deputy to the Program Manager, providing daily leadership and oversight for program execution
- Lead integration and synchronization of cross-functional activities supporting requirements development, architecture modeling, system design, implementation, integration, test, verification/validation, and operational readiness
- Oversee execution of program cost, schedule, technical performance, and risk management processes
- Manage development, configuration control, and lifecycle maintenance of digital engineering artifacts, MBSE models, system architectures
- Coordinate technical reviews, program management reviews, IPT meetings, architecture and design reviews
- Direct Agile, DevSecOps, and digital engineering practices across software and systems engineering teams
- Identify and mitigate programmatic, technical, integration, cybersecurity, and schedule risks
- Support strategic planning, workforce planning, subcontractor oversight, and internal growth initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- A minimum of 12+ years of experience
- minimum of Secret clearance with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI
- experience managing or leading large-scale government acquisition of ground systems, engineering, or digital transformation programs
- establishing and maintaining rigorous configuration control of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) in MS Project
- demonstrated ability to manage multi-discipline subcontractor teams
- proven experience bridging Agile software execution with formal Earned Value Management (EVM)
- experience administering complex baseline maintenance
- ability to evaluate and cross-reference financial metrics, schedule driving paths, and Earned Value techniques
- knowledge of systems engineering, MBSE, digital engineering, or software engineering processes
- experience preparing and leading program reviews, contract negotiations, technical reviews, and milestone readiness activities
- experience with Agile or DevSecOps software development environments
- ability to review and manage technical artifacts
- experience identifying, assessing, and mitigating complex programmatic or technical risks
