About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform purchase order/task order/contract pre-award functions on contracts
- Provide relevant historical procurement information and current market/industry information
- Assist in conducting and documenting market research activities
- Prepare appropriate pre-solicitation and solicitation notices for OAS review
- Provide proactive assistance to ensuring that requirements are complete and adequate for proceeding with procurement
- Prepare analyses of business elements and pricing information of offers and quotes
- Attend meetings with OAS associated with assigned workload
- Provide assistance for controlling communications with the vendor community
- Prepare appropriate notices of award for OAS review
Requirements
What you’ll need- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field
- Minimum of five years of professional experience as a contract manager or specialist
- Must have a current or previous FAC-C Certification
- Knowledge of the Federal acquisition process and applicable laws and regulations. (e.g., the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
- Strong background in acquiring commercial supplies and/or services for the Federal Government
- Excellent communication and self-organization
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively
- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work with minimal guidance and supervision
- Experience as an 1102 in the Federal Government is highly desirable.
