About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Wind Turbine Traveling Technicians (Composite Repair) specialize in conducting inspection and corrective repair of composite Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) components
Evaluate, inspect, diagnose and document internal and external composite blade damage, then photograph and assemble documentation as required
Perform coating and structural repairs of internal and external composite blade structures
Modify and repair fiberglass, carbon fiber, resin and other composite materials as needed
Work with site leadership to execute all contractual obligations and activities set forth with the customers daily
Complete and maintain required company and client documentation and records
Perform Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) as required to maintain a safe working environment

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum 2 year of experience working with composite materials in any industry
Familiar with internal and external adhesive bonding
Understanding of mixed ratios for all composite repair chemicals
Basic knowledge of repairing leading edge (LE) and trailing edge (TE) cracks
WDI/TWP/Work instruction
Work within confined space areas, such as inside a wind turbine blade
Read and understand electrical schematic drawings
Must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English to safely perform job duties, interpret technical instructions, and communicate effectively with team members and customers
