About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Open new consumer and small business accounts and memberships through digital platforms
  • Identify consumer lending opportunities and refer small business lending opportunities to the Virtual Delivery Officer
  • Conduct proactive outbound calls to members and indirect members
  • Onboard new and indirect members, assisting with digital account setup, maintenance, and service needs
  • Cross-sell products and services aligned with members' financial needs and develop customized follow-up plans
  • Use digital tools to communicate through members' preferred channels
  • Interview members to maximize sales and service opportunities for loans, deposits, and other financial services
  • Explain digital and traditional financial services, overcome objections, and recommend appropriate products and services
  • Build long-term member relationships through follow-up across various channels
  • Support members who prefer or are unable to visit branches with account maintenance through digital channels
  • Refer members to Investments, Business Services, Insurance, and Lending
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and complete required reports, including Suspicious Activity Reports, Currency Transaction Reports, and OFAC reports
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service and sales experience within a financial services or retail environment
  • Experience working in a lending environment and opening new accounts
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deliver excellent customer service
  • Ability to actively learn and apply new and existing information to problem-solving and decision-making
  • Effective profiling skills to uncover members' financial needs
  • Candidates must reside in Washington or Oregon
