About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist with collecting or compiling information to complete key department functions, including but not limited to, strategic and academic planning, budgeting, and reporting.
- Enter data and information into databases and systems in an accurate and timely manner.
- Schedule and attend meetings, as required; maintain a high level of confidentiality when dealing with sensitive matters.
- Create agendas and minutes for these meetings.
- Implement quality, service, and process improvement initiatives to enhance day-to-day administrative and operational efforts.
- Manage all facets of event planning for the department, as applicable.
- Perform other role-related duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum two years’ experience in a similar administrative support role, preferably in a higher education setting.
- High level of computer proficiency in word processing, excel spreadsheet, presentations, email, and virtual meeting applications, preferably on the Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 platforms.
- Experience with Smartsheet is preferred but not required.
- High level customer service.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Critical thinking skills
- Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and interpersonal.
- Strong collaboration skills.
