About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain and patch Windows servers.
- Support SQL Server environments, including backups and performance checks.
- Manage storage systems and virtual machines.
- Assist with Azure AD Connect and hybrid integrations.
- Help administer Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, and Intune policies.
- Support provisioning and configuration of Azure resources (VMs, storage, networking).
- Monitor and test backups for VMs, SQL, and storage systems.
- Handle escalations from 1st and 2nd Line Support related to infrastructure.
- Use monitoring tools (such as PRTG or Azure Monitor) to track infrastructure health.
- Follow change control procedures for updates and deployments.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience working in IT infrastructure, systems administration, or an advanced support role.
- Good understanding of Windows Server, virtualization technologies, networking fundamentals.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure services, and Active Directory.
- Experience with backup systems (e.g., Veeam) is an advantage.
- SQL Server, firewall, or Intune knowledge is considered a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting ability and willingness to learn new technologies.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other IT teams and communicate with stakeholders.
