About the role
- Trusted advisor: You will act as a trusted advisor to operational and business leaders and play a central role in the company’s "cockpit."
- P&L and balance sheet ownership: You will be responsible for the profit and loss statement and balance sheet of the business unit, acting like an entrepreneur in a start-up and developing measures to mitigate negative impacts and secure positive outcomes.
- Proactive market and financial trends: You will proactively anticipate market, technology, and financial trends to keep ahead of the competition.
- Budgeting and forecasting support: You will prepare budgets, plans, and forecasts for revenue, margin, and EBIT and support their achievement.
- Strategic advising: You will serve as a strategic advisor to operational and business partners.
- Deep-dive analysis: You will identify and conduct detailed analyses, get to the root causes, and work with operational units to develop action plans whose progress you will track.
- Cash flow management: You will manage cash flow metrics and work with operational teams to develop plans to improve working capital.
- Best-practice culture: You will promote a best-practice culture by participating in and leading various process improvement projects to simplify, streamline, and automate processes.
- Stakeholder collaboration: You will work closely with a range of key stakeholders, including the Area Finance team (Controlling and Accounting), the leadership team, and operational and functional teams at local, Area, EMEA, and HQ levels.
Requirements
- Approximately 7 years of professional experience in a comparable role.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office and SAP.
- Experience with HFM (including SmartView) and Power BI.
- Fluent German and English skills.
- Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS is an advantage.
- Solution- and results-oriented with a proactive working approach and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Self-starter who can work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Courage to take on challenges and act assertively.
- Resilience during change processes and in "difficult" phases, as well as flexibility.
