Drive the technical direction of Braintree’s open-source iOS and Android SDKs.
Design and evolve developer-friendly APIs.
Build robust SDK features and ensure reliability, security, and ease of integration.
Lead technical decisions of iOS or Android platform.
Own and refine SDK developer experience with intuitive, well-documented APIs.

Requirements

5+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Significant experience building mobile applications or SDKs on iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin/Java).
Strong understanding of mobile architecture, SDK design principles, API design, and the mobile app lifecycle.
At least 1 year of prior Technical Lead or equivalent senior technical leadership experience guiding architecture and mentoring engineers.
Experience delivering production-grade software end to end: design, implementation, automated testing, release, and ongoing support.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, product managers, and non-technical stakeholders.
