About the role
- Independently apply security best practices to optimize systems
- Drive security initiatives and co-lead efforts for security posture improvement
- Analyze and resolve security challenges through standard processes
- Influence team quality and efficiency through informed decision-making
- Collaborate with engineers to incorporate feedback into security processes
- Drive operational workflow around application security vulnerabilities
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to resolve issues
- Maintain a roadmap for team objectives and performance
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Strong programming experience in Ruby, Java, Python, JavaScript, Swift
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (SAST, API security scanners)
- Deep understanding of web application and mobile app vulnerabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Experience with vulnerability management platforms (e.g., Seemplicity, Kenna)
- Familiarity with financial services regulations (PCI-DSS, ISO27001)
- Ability to mentor junior team members
- Experience with at least one cloud vendor (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
