Mental Health Therapist

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide individual, family, and group therapy services
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Support individuals experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, grief, family conflict, and other behavioral health concerns
- Utilize evidence-based and trauma-informed interventions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to support positive treatment outcomes
- Participate in clinical consultation and supervision as appropriate
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
- Manage an agreed-upon caseload and service expectations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field
- Active DC License (LPC, LGPC, LCSW, LICSW, or equivalent)
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to culturally responsive and trauma-informed care
- Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families (preferred)
- Experience in outpatient, community-based, school-based, or behavioral health settings (preferred)
- Experience utilizing evidence-based treatment approaches (preferred)
- Experience serving diverse and underserved populations (preferred)
