About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own and manage the Information Systems Security Officer component of the Local Registration Authority (LRA) program
  • Ensure that all operations maintain strict adherence to Department of War (DoW) standards
  • Comply fully with the United States Department of Defense X.509 Certificate Policy
  • Provide the US Navy with excellent information technology customer service support
  • Manage, authorize, and execute account activations on the SIPR network
  • Monitor, analyze, and directly action Information Assurance (IA) events and security incidents
  • Serve as the primary ISSO authority for the LRA program
  • Ensure continuous compliance with PKI audit mandates and DoW security standards
  • Implement and enforce strict protocols for the Protection of Audit Logs
  • Oversee and validate Off-Site Backups and the Protection of Archives to guarantee data integrity, security, and availability

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Seven years (min) of professional Information Technology Security (INFOSEC) support
  • at least 3 years' experience with Navy networks
  • Extensive, hands-on knowledge of the DoD X.509 Certificate Policy
  • Proven experience passing and maintaining compliance for PKI audits
  • Deep understanding of DoW IA standards, secure network operations (SIPR), and enterprise access protocols (SAAR)
  • Strong technical background in audit log protection, secure data archiving, and recovery of corrupted systems
  • Experience using Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent additional work experience)
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a technology field
  • Ten years (min) of INFOSEC support experience
  • At least 5 years' experience with Navy networks
  • Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy as a key member of a small team
