About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own and manage the Information Systems Security Officer component of the Local Registration Authority (LRA) program
Ensure that all operations maintain strict adherence to Department of War (DoW) standards
Comply fully with the United States Department of Defense X.509 Certificate Policy
Provide the US Navy with excellent information technology customer service support
Manage, authorize, and execute account activations on the SIPR network
Monitor, analyze, and directly action Information Assurance (IA) events and security incidents
Serve as the primary ISSO authority for the LRA program
Ensure continuous compliance with PKI audit mandates and DoW security standards
Implement and enforce strict protocols for the Protection of Audit Logs
Oversee and validate Off-Site Backups and the Protection of Archives to guarantee data integrity, security, and availability

Requirements

What you’ll need

Seven years (min) of professional Information Technology Security (INFOSEC) support
at least 3 years' experience with Navy networks
Extensive, hands-on knowledge of the DoD X.509 Certificate Policy
Proven experience passing and maintaining compliance for PKI audits
Deep understanding of DoW IA standards, secure network operations (SIPR), and enterprise access protocols (SAAR)
Strong technical background in audit log protection, secure data archiving, and recovery of corrupted systems
Experience using Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
Active Secret Clearance
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent additional work experience)
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a technology field
Ten years (min) of INFOSEC support experience
At least 5 years' experience with Navy networks
Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy as a key member of a small team
