About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the Private Infrastructure investment team and take part in all aspects of private infrastructure investments
- Sourcing, assessing, executing and monitoring private infrastructure transactions with a focus on North American infrastructure equity investments
- Lead quantitative and qualitative due diligence on prospective private infrastructure investments
- Own and run sophisticated infrastructure financial models
- Analyze and prepare investment memoranda for Partners Group's Investment Committee
- Take a lead role in monitoring infrastructure investments and managing relationships to infrastructure managers in Americas, including regular interaction with investment partners (includes regular travel within North America)
- Perform various tasks related to product reporting, monitoring investments, market research, internal requests, and marketing efforts
Requirements
What you’ll need- Between two to four years of relevant work experience, preferably including background in principal investing or investment banking
- Excellent analytical, financial, interpersonal, and client-facing skills, combined with the desire to learn and succeed
- Expert knowledge of Excel and financial modeling skills; ability to conduct research and cope with incomplete information
- Strong project management skills and ability to lead transactions
- Strong written and oral communications skills
- Superior organizational competence (planning, coordinating and time management)
- Excellent teamwork skills and comfort with constant non-personal communications
- The ability to be self-driven and self-motivated.
- Top academic credentials (MBA/CFA optional) with a coursework emphasis on Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics and/or Engineering
