About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Contribute to the management of all phases of civil engineering projects, including planning, design, permitting, bidding, and construction administration.
- Support the technical delivery of civil engineering projects, including public infrastructure and transportation initiatives.
- Assist in developing project scopes, budgets, schedules, and work plans in coordination with leadership and clients.
- Track and support management of project performance, including deliverables and timelines.
- Participate in construction administration activities such as site visits, progress tracking, and responding to contractor inquiries.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, consultants, and internal teams to ensure design and construction requirements are met.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, design standards, and codes.
- Prepare or oversee the preparation of engineering reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Assist in monitoring project schedules and help ensure timely completion of technical deliverables.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior staff as needed.
- Support planning and supervision of design and construction activities on advanced projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a closely related field from an ABET-accredited program.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Oklahoma.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in civil or public infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience managing Engineering projects such as water/wastewater systems, electrical/controls systems, drainage, roadways, and utility coordination.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal regulations, design standards, and permitting processes.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles related to design, permitting, and construction administration.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and coordinate across disciplines.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
