About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in the preparation of site development design plans, including grading, drainage, paving, and utility layouts
- Perform basic engineering calculations related to stormwater, earthwork, and utility systems
- Support the development of construction documents using CAD software (e.g., Civil 3D)
- Compile and review technical data, reports, and permitting documentation
- Coordinate with internal teams and disciplines to support project delivery
- Participate in field visits and site observations to support design validation and construction efforts
- Assist with quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and project documentation
- Learn and apply applicable codes, standards, and local regulatory requirements
- Support engineers in responding to client and contractor inquiries
- Other duties assigned.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited program
- EIT obtainable within 6 months of hire
- Experience in Revit/BIM is preferred
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or Civil 3D preferred
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
