Senior Structural Professional Engineer
ParkhillSenior Structural Professional Engineer leading design and analysis for building and infrastructure projects at Parkhill. Collaborating with integrated MEP/S team to deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare plans, reports, and studies for review
- Direct technicians and EIT’s for production of engineering documents for routine projects accurately and efficiently
- Interface with Clients when appropriate alongside Project Managers
- Visit construction sites to observe progress and determine general conformance to engineering plans and specifications
- Research design criteria, regulations, and standards as they relate to projects and incorporate them into design documents
- Mentor others in the proficient use of design software
- Review and approve structural designs for quality and code compliance
- Provide guidance on complex design issues
- Lead design teams, including EIT, technicians, and other licensed engineers on large or complex projects
- Manage design effort including planning hours for members of the structural project team
- Active involvement in development of EITs and mid-level engineers
- Manage project health including fees, schedule and hours for their projects
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, architectural engineering
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Ability to use Revit/BIM
- Minimum 15 years of structural building design experience in a consulting role.
