About the role

  • Manage multiple IT Development and Support teams in an outsourced onsite-offshore environment (100+ FTEs)
  • Establish operating procedures, people management, planning activities and work assignment within span of control
  • Drive delivery excellence parameters, customer satisfaction index and P&L responsibility
  • Oversee project delivery using Agile, Waterfall and other project management methodologies
  • Manage multi-vendor environments and lead service recovery with clients
  • Implement productivity improvement levers to achieve operational efficiency
  • Manage Fixed price engagements ensuring effective scope, schedule and budget control
  • Participate in RFP/Bid processes, due diligence and transition management
  • Demonstrate technical acumen to effectively manage development and testing teams

Requirements

  • 10–15 years of IT experience with prior exposure to BFSI delivery management
  • Proven experience managing large IT teams (100+ FTEs) in outsourced, multi-geo, multi-ethnic setups
  • Domain knowledge on Payments, Channels, Retail Banking, and Wealth Management
  • Experience of working in multi-vendor environment
  • Good project management experience/knowledge using Agile Scrum/Kanban, Waterfall, Iterative methodologies
  • Certified in Project Management practices (PMP/PRINCE2) and Agile WoW (Scrum/Kanban)
  • Hands-on background in Development and Testing
  • Experience in managing project delivery in cloud technologies (Azure/AWS)
  • Understanding IT outsourcing engagement and commercial models
  • Ability to demonstrate understanding and implementation of ITIL processes
  • Experience in transition management, including vendor transitions (advantage)
  • Experience managing Fixed price engagements (scope, schedule, budget management)
  • Experience managing/participating in RFP/Bid process including Due Diligence
  • Excellent customer orientation, stakeholder management, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and ability to adapt to corporate environment
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or similar domain (related professional/technical qualifications advantageous)
