About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the design, conduct, and reporting of epidemiologic and real-world evidence studies
- Develop scientific content for study protocols, reports, manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentations
- Conduct literature reviews and evidence assessments to inform study design and interpretation
- Contribute to selecting appropriate study designs, data sources, and analytical approaches
- Review epidemiology-related deliverables for scientific rigor and quality
- Collaborate with biostatisticians, medical writers, data scientists, and other cross-functional team members
- Communicate epidemiologic concepts and study findings to internal and external stakeholders
- Contribute to scientific discussions on study methodology, real-world data, and evidence generation
- Support innovative approaches to epidemiologic and observational research
- Assist with background research and epidemiology sections of proposals and client opportunities
- Support responses to Requests for Proposals and Requests for Information
- Contribute to publications, conference presentations, and posters
- Help advance Parexel's scientific reputation in epidemiology, real-world evidence, and data-driven research
Requirements
What you’ll need- Advanced or master’s degree (MD/MPH, PhD, DrPH) in epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, health outcomes research, or a comparable field
- 2–3+ years of experience conducting independent research and communicating scientific findings in academia, CROs, biopharmaceutical industry, or medical-device industry settings
- Strong understanding of pharmacoepidemiologic principles, including confounding, bias, and operational definitions
- Knowledge of cohort and cross-sectional study designs
- Knowledge of statistical models
- Experience with observational/non-interventional research
- Knowledge of primary and secondary data collection methods, including registries and claims
- Knowledge of pharmacovigilance and the drug development process is a plus
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, international, and cross-cultural environment
- Fluent in English
