About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the design, conduct, and reporting of epidemiologic and real-world evidence studies
  • Develop scientific content for study protocols, reports, manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentations
  • Conduct literature reviews and evidence assessments to inform study design and interpretation
  • Contribute to selecting appropriate study designs, data sources, and analytical approaches
  • Review epidemiology-related deliverables for scientific rigor and quality
  • Collaborate with biostatisticians, medical writers, data scientists, and other cross-functional team members
  • Communicate epidemiologic concepts and study findings to internal and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to scientific discussions on study methodology, real-world data, and evidence generation
  • Support innovative approaches to epidemiologic and observational research
  • Assist with background research and epidemiology sections of proposals and client opportunities
  • Support responses to Requests for Proposals and Requests for Information
  • Contribute to publications, conference presentations, and posters
  • Help advance Parexel's scientific reputation in epidemiology, real-world evidence, and data-driven research

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Advanced or master’s degree (MD/MPH, PhD, DrPH) in epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, health outcomes research, or a comparable field
  • 2–3+ years of experience conducting independent research and communicating scientific findings in academia, CROs, biopharmaceutical industry, or medical-device industry settings
  • Strong understanding of pharmacoepidemiologic principles, including confounding, bias, and operational definitions
  • Knowledge of cohort and cross-sectional study designs
  • Knowledge of statistical models
  • Experience with observational/non-interventional research
  • Knowledge of primary and secondary data collection methods, including registries and claims
  • Knowledge of pharmacovigilance and the drug development process is a plus
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, international, and cross-cultural environment
  • Fluent in English
