About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the design, conduct, and reporting of epidemiologic and real-world evidence studies
Develop scientific content for study protocols, reports, manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentations
Conduct literature reviews and evidence assessments to inform study design and interpretation
Contribute to selecting appropriate study designs, data sources, and analytical approaches
Review epidemiology-related deliverables for scientific rigor and quality
Collaborate with biostatisticians, medical writers, data scientists, and other cross-functional team members
Communicate epidemiologic concepts and study findings to internal and external stakeholders
Contribute to scientific discussions on study methodology, real-world data, and evidence generation
Support innovative approaches to epidemiologic and observational research
Assist with background research and epidemiology sections of proposals and client opportunities
Support responses to Requests for Proposals and Requests for Information
Contribute to publications, conference presentations, and posters
Help advance Parexel's scientific reputation in epidemiology, real-world evidence, and data-driven research

Requirements

What you’ll need

Advanced or master’s degree (MD/MPH, PhD, DrPH) in epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, health outcomes research, or a comparable field
2–3+ years of experience conducting independent research and communicating scientific findings in academia, CROs, biopharmaceutical industry, or medical-device industry settings
Strong understanding of pharmacoepidemiologic principles, including confounding, bias, and operational definitions
Knowledge of cohort and cross-sectional study designs
Knowledge of statistical models
Experience with observational/non-interventional research
Knowledge of primary and secondary data collection methods, including registries and claims
Knowledge of pharmacovigilance and the drug development process is a plus
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, international, and cross-cultural environment
Fluent in English
