About the role
- Patient preparation for surgical procedures
- Preparation in the operating room
- Instrumentation and assistance during surgical procedures and endoscopies
- Disinfection and sterilization of instruments and equipment
- Documentation of each individual surgical procedure
- Postoperative care of operated patients
- Monitoring compliance with hygiene regulations
Requirements
- Completion of the general higher education entrance qualification (Abitur) or a good intermediate secondary school certificate
- Teamwork, empathy, commitment, willingness to learn, communication skills
- Enjoyment in working with people and an interest in social and medical tasks
- Proof of medical fitness by means of a doctor’s certificate
- Desirable: preparatory internship in the operating room or on a surgical ward
