About the role
- Patient preparation for surgical procedures
- Preparation of the operating room
- Instrumentation and assistance during surgical procedures and endoscopies
- Disinfection and sterilization of instruments and equipment
- Documentation of each individual surgical procedure
- Postoperative care of operated patients
- Monitoring compliance with hygiene protocols
Requirements
- High school diploma (Abitur) or a good intermediate secondary school leaving certificate
- Teamwork, empathy, commitment, willingness to learn, and communication skills
- Enjoyment in working with people
- Interest in social and medical tasks
- Proof of medical fitness by a physician's certificate
- A pre-vocational internship in the OR or on a surgical ward is desirable
