About the role
- Oversees all facets of program implementation and operational activities, ensuring the program functions efficiently and effectively.
- Responsible for the development, execution, and management of the Hydro-specific 811 damage prevention program.
- Establishes and maintains standards, procedures, and communication protocols to ensure compliance with state and federal 811 requirements for underground utility protection.
- Develops and implements comprehensive communication plans for both internal and external stakeholders and delivers training and guidance to Hydro personnel regarding 811 protocols.
- Serves as the primary liaison between Hydro Operations, Operations & Maintenance teams, Licensing, and external agencies—to facilitate timely notifications and responses to excavation requests.
- This position is flexible throughout the service territory with Oakland as the preferred headquarters.
- Travel may be required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business
- 8 years of related experience or equivalent
- Master’s degree preferred
- PMP Certification
- Advanced knowledge of Program Management
- Ability to influence leaders inside and outside of the department through data analysis, insights and recommendations
- Ability to lead large and complex projects working with cross-functional teams
- Ability to create compelling business cases based on complex business environments and inputs
- Adept at addressing issues with diplomacy and tact
- Excellent negotiation skills.
