About the role
- Analyze and respond to cyber threats for client networks
- Operate and tune security tools to perform cyber security services
- Perform maintenance & patching activities to support clients' cybersecurity posture
- Work and complete assigned tickets according to SOPs
- Monitor client environments for security threats
- Perform regularly scheduled vulnerability scanning and penetration testing and manage remediation of identified issues
- Analyze cloud environments, servers, workstations and other devices suspected to be compromised
- Provide high quality written and verbal customer service
- Accurately track and document all work
- Perform other maintenance activities as assigned
Requirements
- 3+ years of related experience including either system administration or cybersecurity
- Experience administering Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Azure and on-premise Microsoft platforms such as Microsoft Windows Server and Windows 10
- Familiarity with log, event or security management platforms such as Logstash and Splunk
- Experience in working with help desk ticketing software such as Zendesk or Connectwise
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field (required)
- Comptia Security+ (required)
- Comptia CySA+ or equivalent (strongly preferred)
- Demonstrated ongoing professional interest in cybersecurity
- Ability to speak confidently and comfortably with clients and vendors as needed to see incidents through resolution
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Strong communicator, both written & verbal
- Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting abilities
- Must possess a current and valid driver’s license
- Must be located in Nevada (eligibility requirement)
- Willingness to work training schedule 7am-3pm PST M-F for 2-3 months and then rotating 12hr shifts 2pm-2am PST
