About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage Windows and thin client environments, utilizing tools such as MECM, Wyse Management Suite, 10ZiG Manager, and HP Web Jetadmin.
  • Responsible for configuring and managing Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and maintaining the overall environment to ensure systems are current, secure, and properly maintained.
  • Ensure devices meet established security standards, including managing software distribution, antivirus updates, and patch management.
  • Optimize system performance to minimize disruptions and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Review and validate work completed by teammates and junior engineers, as appropriate.
  • Provide technical support for endpoint hardware, perform remote shadowing, and resolve connectivity issues.
  • Work closely with other IT teams and departments to ensure seamless integration and support of IT solutions within the broader IT infrastructure.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • Must have an active TS Clearance with SCI Eligibility
  • CompTIA Security + (IAT Level II or Higher )
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Windows Administration; In-depth knowledge and experience with windows and Linux systems, Aria, and installation, configuration, and administration
  • Experience with the Wyse Management Suite (WMS)
  • Imaging and Firmware Deployment: Pull, push, and update firmware (ThinOS 8.x/9.x) and images (WES) to devices, including BIOS updates
  • Policy Configuration: Create and deploy global, group-level, or device-level policies for security, display, keyboard, and VDI brokering (Citrix, VMware, RDP)
  • Application Management: Deploy and update software packages on Windows Embedded clients
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Provide technical support for endpoint hardware, perform remote shadowing, and resolve connectivity issues
  • Security & Lockdown: Implement security policies to lockdown devices, configure USB redirection, and set up Active Directory/SAML authentication
  • Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
  • Experience in a 24/7 military or government IT environment
  • Knowledge of systems software, hardware, and networking protocols
  • Demonstrated ability to provide an outstanding customer service experience
