About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Preparing exam rooms and ensuring clinical areas are clean, stocked, and ready for patient care
  • Rooming patients, obtaining medical histories, recording vital signs, and documenting clinical information
  • Assisting providers with patient examinations, treatments, and in-office procedures
  • Educating patients on orthopedic care, including cast care, brace use, and post-treatment instructions
  • Coordinating patient care by scheduling follow-up appointments, imaging, therapy, and surgical procedures
  • Entering provider orders for diagnostic testing, therapy, and other patient care needs
  • Supporting surgery coordination, including pre-operative testing and equipment arrangements
  • Responding to patient phone calls, addressing questions, and appropriately triaging concerns
  • Collaborating with providers and the clinical team to keep patient flow efficient while delivering outstanding customer service

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program, certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent), or relevant clinical experience
  • Experience in a medical office, outpatient clinic, or orthopedic practice
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Basic computer proficiency and attention to detail
