About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Preparing exam rooms and ensuring clinical areas are clean, stocked, and ready for patient care.
Rooming patients, obtaining medical histories, recording vital signs, and documenting clinical information.
Assisting providers with patient examinations, treatments, and in-office procedures.
Educating patients on orthopedic care, including cast care, brace use, and post-treatment instructions.
Coordinating patient care by scheduling follow-up appointments, imaging, therapy, and surgical procedures.
Entering provider orders for diagnostic testing, therapy, and other patient care needs.
Supporting surgery coordination, including pre-operative testing and equipment arrangements.
Responding to patient phone calls, addressing questions, and appropriately triaging concerns.
Collaborating with providers and the clinical team to keep patient flow efficient while delivering outstanding customer service.

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of a Medical Assistant program, Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent), or relevant clinical experience
Experience in a medical office, outpatient clinic, or orthopedic practice
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR)
Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
Basic computer proficiency and attention to detail.
