About the role
- Provide legal support for contract matters across the organization
- Serve as primary contact for leadership on contract-related issues
- Anticipate contract needs and advise internal stakeholders
- Develop and maintain standard contract templates
- Lead and mentor the Contract Specialist and Paralegal
- Build strong relationships with leaders across the organization
- Support General Counsel on litigation management
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in Virginia or ability to obtain corporate counsel certificate
- Minimum of five years of legal experience
- At least three years focusing on healthcare law
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
- Experience with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and Stark Law
- Demonstrated people leadership experience
- Strong business judgment
