About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage technical coordination of the electrical package throughout project delivery.
- Lead client meetings and coordinate all electrical engineering communications.
- Manage technical submittals, RFIs, and design reviews.
- Coordinate electrical, mechanical, and CSA interfaces to ensure seamless installation.
- Develop and review commissioning documentation for electrical systems.
- Prepare and review method statements and risk assessments.
- Monitor installation progress and ensure works remain on programme.
- Assist with cost management, change control, and variation assessments.
- Drive completion of O&M manuals and handover documentation.
- Support and mentor Electrical Engineers and Package Managers.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience delivering electrical packages on large-scale construction projects such as data centres, pharmaceutical, industrial, or other mission-critical developments.
- Strong understanding of electrical commissioning, technical submittals, and RFI management.
- Knowledge of electrical power distribution systems, standby generation, UPS systems, lighting, earthing, and life safety systems.
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and maintain high standards of quality and compliance.
- Proactive approach with strong attention to detail and commitment to professional standards.
- Data centre project experience (desirable).
- Knowledge of commissioning procedures for electrical building services (desirable).
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams (desirable).
- Familiarity with BIM coordination and digital construction platforms (desirable).
- Strong commercial awareness (desirable).
- Chartered Engineer status or progression toward chartership (desirable).
- Leadership or mentoring experience within project or compliance teams (desirable).
- Experience with pharmaceutical, cleanroom, or highly regulated environments (desirable).
- Knowledge of LEED, energy-efficient design, or sustainable building standards (desirable).
- Experience with mission-critical electrical infrastructure, including MV/LV distribution, UPS systems, generators, and critical power systems (desirable).
