About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and coordinate mechanical and electrical building services activities across multiple projects
  • Manage the delivery of M&E packages from design through construction, commissioning, and handover
  • Maintain strong program control and monitor project progress against key milestones
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including architects, structural engineers, contractors, and specialist consultants
  • Carry out site inspections and oversee installation quality, safety, and compliance standards
  • Review technical drawings, specifications, and construction documentation
  • Liaise directly with clients, contractors, and key stakeholders throughout project delivery
  • Identify and resolve technical, coordination, and program-related issues
  • Support procurement activities, contractor management, and commercial reporting where required
  • Contribute leadership, technical expertise, and mentoring support within the wider project team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering
  • Strong background in mechanical and electrical building services
  • Proven experience delivering M&E-led projects within commercial, residential, healthcare, or similar sectors
  • Significant on-site experience with strong knowledge of construction and installation processes
  • Experience managing project delivery, stakeholder coordination, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Chartered Engineer status or progression toward chartership (Desirable)
  • PMP or similar qualification (Desirable)
  • Experience delivering large-scale or technically complex developments (Desirable)
  • Familiarity with BIM coordination and digital project delivery tools (Desirable)
  • Leadership or commercial management experience (Desirable)
  • Experience working in live operational environments (Desirable)
