About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the technical reference in environmental studies, covering both environmental monitoring of water and soil for sanitary landfills and contaminated area management, performing advanced environmental analyses, and coordinating investigations, inventories, mapping, and environmental remediation projects.
- Conduct impact assessments, risk analyses, definition and monitoring of remediation strategies, and support environmental permitting processes.
- Responsible for ensuring the technical quality of studies, compliance with current environmental legislation, providing technical guidance to teams, and supporting decision-making, contributing to environmental safety, project sustainability, and appropriate management of environmental risks.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum education:
- (GAC) Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Geology, Environmental Engineering, or related fields.
- (GAC) Postgraduate degree or specialization in Geotechnics and/or Contaminated Area Management is strongly desirable.
- Technical competencies:
- (GAC) Human Health Risk Assessment; Hydrogeology; Flow and Contaminant Transport Modeling; Environmental Remediation; Environmental Monitoring. Hydrogeological and environmental analysis applied to the interpretation of geological and stratigraphic profiles, assessment of contamination plumes in soil, groundwater and vapor, preparation and interpretation of potentiometric maps, as well as evaluation, review and adaptation of Preventive Monitoring Plans in accordance with DD-038/2017.
- Prior experience:
- (GAC) Minimum of 5 years of experience.
