About the role

  • Provide analytical support in the preparation of new credit underwritings, loan modifications, and periodic credit reviews.
  • Performing all required financial spreads.
  • Building financial models used for valuation and forecast.
  • Assessing and evaluating the credit risk of a prospective or existing borrower flagging early warning signals.
  • Uploading all necessary documentation for credit underwriting and approval.
  • Work alongside the Portfolio Leads and Portfolio Manager in the preparation of regular portfolio reports, industry research, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Stay abreast of news and events that affect the different industries/sectors covered within the US Loans portfolio.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with business partners, internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the USLP Management Team including its Credit Risk Unit to manage optimal workflow, assist in identifying process breakdowns, and develop internal enhancements.
  • Be responsible for completing annual training programs.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting, Economics, or business related degree required.
  • MBA preferred.
  • One (1)+ years of experience in commercial credit analysis/portfolio management required.
  • Minimum experience requirement can be substituted with the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Knowledge of capital markets and commercial/corporate product offerings, including syndicated/leveraged lending desired
  • Strong skills in quantitative analysis, financial modeling, and credit analysis required.
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills in English, being able to communicate at all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in Spanish would be a plus.
  • Ability to work on demanding tasks independently, effectively manage deadlines, and have excellent prioritizing skills.
  • Expertise in computer skills, including but not limited to the Microsoft Office suite required.
  • Moody’s Credit Lens, and other financial software tools such as Pitchbook and S&P Capital IQ strongly preferred.
